Civil Service Board: Documents & Forms
Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4 Civil Service Board operates under the Louisiana civil service system for classified employees. The three members of the civil service board are local citizens who are appointed to administer the system of classified fire service at the local level.
The Civil Service Board represents the public interest in matters of personnel administration and standards. The Board advises and assists the governing body and classified employees in matters related to civil service law. This includes the authority to hear, investigate, and decide complaints or appeals of any employee or members of the public regarding violations of the civil service law.
The Civil Service Board meets on a quarterly basis or as necessary. All meetings are subject to Public Meetings Laws, specifically, LSA-R.S. 42:11 et seq. and are open to the public. Written Public Agendas and Meeting Minutes are provided for every meeting.
